Susan has developed a unique sense of style.  Her time spent on the Louisiana bayous, the Texas hill country, teaching art classes, and collaboration with interior designers and artist guilds have all played an integral role in her distinctive body of work. Her passion for art was nurtured from a very young age. Susan grew up in a family of artists and was commissioned for her first watercolor at 11. She drew upon her love of horses and nature to continue her studies in high school, where her art teacher enriched her background in art history and encouraged her appreciation for drawing with a pencil.

Susan attended LSU, majoring in graphic design, and learned more about the business of art. She met her husband, started her family and simultaneously started her own business as an artist specializing in producing custom art and interior finishes, all the while, drawing on experiences from her studies, and local culture. She is proud of being commissioned by the Mother Superior (also a watercolorist) of the Academy of the Sacred Heart to create a series of watercolor festival posters, depicting the beautiful school campus. Susan also produced art from the Atchafalaya Basin for other area festivals. Her rich experiences in the Cajun culture of south central Louisiana, still influence her today.

In the 90’s Susan‘s young family moved to Seabrook, Texas which is south east Houston, continued her career in custom art, influenced by the Galveston Bay area life style. She began working with interior designers and demanding clientele while tallying up over 30 years of experience and know-how, drawing experience from her college studies, working, raising her family in South central Louisiana for 30 years. Her uses of elements of nature create one-of-kind designs in every work of art. For instance: When refinishing furniture, she loves to find an old piece with “good bones”, and repurpose it with designs to be enjoyed by generations. She also loves to infuse natural elements, such as wood grains, stone , metal patinas, and textural fabrics to provide warmth and character into the art , pillows, or furniture.
